Landscape & Natural Resources
To preserve the quality of our natural areas we actively discourage the use of invasive plantings and encourage the use of native species wherever possible. Native plants provide a beautiful, hardy, drought resistant, low maintenance landscape while benefiting the environment.  Natives as well maintain and restore wildlife habitat.

Planting of Natives Encouraged

We are unique, forested community nestled in Eugene's south hills near Hendricks Park.  We recommend the following guidance provided by the City of Eugene for plantings in and around Hendricks Park.

Questions concerning plantings and/or removal of any tree over 8 inches in diameter should be directed to the Landscape Committee.

Ivy Removal-

Thanks to Northwest Youth Corps and Lane Forest Products!!

Great work by NYC has resulted in removal of ivy from lower cul-de-sac and an attractive new rock retaining wall & bark along the embankment.  This area has languished for 30 plus years and greatly improves the curb appeal and look of the community.
